You can look down the coastline from Avila and see the craggy outlines of beautiful beaches to explore. Just south around the corner from Avila is the best beach for finding small rocks and walking on smooth sea tumbled peddles for a completely organic foot exfoliation. You have to try it.
Then walk up along to the great Captains mansion by the sea. If that doesn't make you want to dream about sailing ships, The Pirate Queen, Errol Flynn and romance.
Walking up Morro St will take you right to MaryAine Curtis doing wonderful healing deep tissue or hot stone therapeutic massages at the Shell Beach Salon and Spa where both can enjoy dreams and relaxation simultaneously.
