How to Meet Singles -- The Hidden Romantic Approach

Would you like to know how to meet singles?  I was amazed.  It wasn't even hard.

What did you say the last time someone asked you how to meet single guys or gals?

Actually, it is probably easier to meet single men than single women. Men hang out in bars and watch sports TV in those bars. So, ladies, find a sports bar and learn about a sport.

Women aren't as good at "hanging out" in bars. Lots of women really do not like bars. It makes them feel like they are getting picked up when someone sits next to them in a bar � and in truth, they probably are.

And the opening lines. Do you come here often? Haven't we met before? There just has to be a better way.

In researching romantic places to go, I happened upon one of the real hidden secrets in meeting women. You won't believe it.

It is a bar, but it is a very respectable, fun bar. It is a place where people, especially singles, congregate, but not in scary hoards.

It is a place with inherent fun, and honest opening lines, like How do you like the merlot?

It is a wine tasting bar.

I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't experienced it first hand. I went into my local California wine tasting bar, a very nice place in Newport Beach, California -- the Wine Lab. It is a small place, with about a dozen seats at the bar, and room for maybe fifty people total. It was busy that night, around thirty people. And at least twenty of them were women. And not just any woman. These were very pretty, very nice, educated, funny, happy ladies.

So I snuck up to the last open spot at the bar, in between two very lovely ladies. One was drinking a red wine, and the other was drinking a white. So I asked, Should I have cabernet or chardonnay tonight? Well, we started talking, and there wasn't a pause for nearly two hours.

So this is how to meet singles, I said to myself. You walk into a wine bar and ask about wine. Duh. Who would of thunk?

There are other opening lines that work well too. Like "Is that a zinfandel that you are drinking?" "Which of the flights (sets of wine tastings) are you drinking?"

There is one drawback: you may need to learn a bit about wine and wine tasting, but that isn't difficult. In fact, you could probably ask the ladies that you meet to teach you, and they would gladly assist.

At first I thought this was an aberration, just one great wine bar in one area. But I tried out my theory in Saratoga, in northern California, and even in San Diego. The same thing happened in all three places. Each California wine tasting bar attracted a slew of lovely ladies who were anxious to tell me about their wine.

I have fallen in love several times since my first discovery of the amazing way to meet ladies. I am having a hard time choosing amongst all my new found flames. So now I have my mission in life: to meet single ladies in California wine tasting bars across the state. What a way to live.
