I Loved Treasure Island Beach
At The Montage in Laguna Beach

I am a beach person, so I've been to a lot of beaches, and Treasure Island Beach just below the Montage Resort is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! There are a lot of things that make it romantic, too.

First, it is very handicapped accessible. There is a great ramp that winds its way down the hillside, making this a perfect picnic spot for everyone. My hubby uses a wheelchair, and this is important to us. It means we can enjoy a beautiful place together, and that is so important.

It is so uncrowded, so open, so private. We felt like we had the beach all to ourselves, and that in the middle of August on a beautiful sunny day. And the people who are there are so nice and friendly. Not only did our "neighbors" invite me to join them in exploring the tide pools, but one of them stayed behind with Danny too. I just can't imagine a nicer gift.

The natural growth on the mountainsides is so pretty. The bright pink bougainvillea really created a special environment.

It was such a lovely day, such a romantic day, one that we will remember for many years to come.

That ramp was great fun running up and down! And the friendliness of Laguna Beach is unbeatable; I don't recall when I've had my ears scratched so much.

Thank you for reminding me about the handicap accessible issue.  The ramp is long, but has a gentle slope.  If you are staying at the Montage Resort, my guess is that one of the valets will be glad to walk you down in your wheel chair. 

I do try to keep an eye out for handicap issues, but I always appreciate comments from folks like you. Give your hubby a big hug for us.
