We are delighted when visitors like you tell us about interesting tid bits.  One such message was about the Laguna Beach Travelers Gate:

 

Do you know about the delightful "Travelers Gate", right at the corner of Pacific Coast Highway? If it is a little quirky, well, I guess so are we.

I always pause at that corner and read it. There is indeed a message there for us all: "This gate ... hinders none. Refresh and rest, and travel on." I wish my in-laws would read it, but hey you can't have everything in life -- lol.

Brenda, yes I know that sign well! It is right near an ice cream place, isn't it?

For those who have not been to Laguna Beach, the sign is mounted on a tall pole, about 8-10 feel above the sidewalk. Even a pretty tall basketball player can walk under it. Truly, it hinders none.

As for your inlaws, they probably wouldn't visit so often, or so long, if you weren't in Laguna Beach. Oh, well, maybe the cure is worse than the disease.
