Trish was visiting from Barstow, California, and found the Los Gatos Toll House Hotel most enchanting.
The central patio is bathed in a golden glow. This is where everything happens. Well, not quite "everything". There is an indoor bar and restaurant, and rooms are all around the upper floors of the hotel, both facing the central patio and facing out. My favorite room is one facing out toward the trees of the Santa Cruz Mountain range.
The Toll House Hotel in Los Gatos, California, is smallish, and a lot of people don't know about it. It is romantic because it has a very pretty courtyard in the middle that is lit up at night with little white lights.
My cousin had her wedding there, and it was so pretty. We had decorations strewn all over the railings and flowers on all the tables. After the wedding she had the reception right there is the courtyard. There was room for dancing under the stars, and tables for champagne and gifts. They set up a little stage for the band to play on. It was one of the prettiest weddings I have been to.
There are also some meeting rooms indoors, but I didn't like them
as much. The patio is the romantic area.
Note
from Kingsley:
My goodness, this little hotel, the Los
Gatos Toll House Hotel, is certainly busy. The evening we
stopped by there were two romantic weddings, one on the patio, and
one indoors. The outdoor wedding had a little band and sounded
like lots of fun. I didn't get to see much of the one indoors
-- it was behind closed doors.
I lived here for a while, and I do love the Los Gatos-Saratoga area. I am planning a section just on the romance nestled against the mountains, so do check back.
