But if it is around lunch time, find the Loft Restaurant.  This is not the main restaurant by the side of the stunning swimming pool.  No, this one is one level below the main lobby.

There an indoor area in the middle, and on each side is a small balcony holding  only six intimate tables.  Choose one of the balconies.

That is Our Table, in the back corner.  Both seats enjoy absolutely unobstructed spectacular views of the gentle waves washing up on the shore, with palm trees swaying in the breeze.

This is the view.  Wow.

The Montage Resort pool glistens in the middle, with its dramatic star burst pattern leading your eyes to the bluest ocean you have ever seen.

THIS is Laguna Beach.  This is what all the fuss is about.

I don't want to dismiss the lunch itself, which was really quite delicious.  But nowhere else is there a view comparable to this one.  Truly, even this photo just doesn't do it justice.

And the best part is that this is just a tiny corner of Montage Laguna Beach.  We truly fell in love with the whole place... the walks ... the beaches ... the landscaping ... the quiet resting places ... and so much more.
