I have a romantic story about the Montage Resort. It is a fairytale story that no one would believe if it were not true... international travel, the Laguna Beach resort called Montage, a romantic proposal, an even more romantic wedding, and Hogwarts!  All in one.

It is a story of a Lord and Lady.  Here it is:

Sir Brian Sterling met Victoria Staten, former Group Vice President at New York's fashion house Kenneth Cole and media fashion guru, on a plane ride somewhere between New York and Minneapolis.  While the immediate attraction was mutual, it was a while before they met again.  When they did, sparks flew and within weeks they were in California, Victoria's home state since she was born in Newport Beach.

One night over dinner by candlelight, with the sun sinking over the horizon and the sea lapping at the shore next to them at the exclusive Montage Laguna Beach, Sir Brian proposed on one knee to his lovely Victoria.

He offered her a ring containing a diamond which had been in his family for 150 years, since the Charge of the Light Brigade in 1854, where it had been captured from a Russian officer by a British Cavalry officer and relative of Sir Brian's in the Crimena War.

Victoria accepted and the rest as they say is history.  They danced the night away alone on the balcony before setting off the next day for a tour of California together. 

Once again, one year to the day from their engagement, the couple was married at the home of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland, Alnwick Castle in England, which became world famous as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter movies.
