Picayo's corner is just so "Laguna Beach".  Just in front of the restaurant and the Stuffed Shirt Cleaners and the yoga studio there is a little lawn.  And on that lawn an absolutely delightful bronze of two children playing just sneaks up on you.

Laguna Beach art is very much a living part of the town, and no more so than the artwork that the town sponsors for all to see throughout the city.

This seems especially appropriate for this restaurant because Picayos is a place where everyone is joyfully welcomed.  The board outside lists the French Club, the Italian Club, and several other clubs that call this Laguna Beach restaurant "home".  And that is truly the feeling that is captured as soon as you step into Picayo.

Whether you choose the sun splashed patio with its bleu-blanc-et-rouge table cloths, or the very romantic inside dining area, you are in for a treat.

The Most Romantic Evening At A Romantic Restaurant

For a very romantic evening, make a reservation for the candle lit dining room.  Order the lamb or the "purse" ( an incredible delicacy of grilled prawns, artichoke hearts, mushrooms in a pastry shell with a tarragon-merlot sauce).  Ask the waiter to recommend a wine, and he will make a superb choice from his domestic and international wines.

During the dinner you will meet Hamid, the owner.  He will make sure that everything is absolutely perfect because that is what he does.

Finish your meal with a creme brulee that bursts your taste buds and melts your heart.

Picayo's is right on the corner of Coast Boulevard and Boat Canyon Drive.  There is a light at the corner, which makes it very easy to access.

For parking, go past the restaurant to the parking lot in front of Pavilion's grocery store.  There is lots of free parking there, with easy access.
